Contemplative Metals & Designs (CM&D) was started to create original handcrafted jewelry to inspire the wearer to connect with nature in a new way. Copper and silver metals are some of the strongest earth elements and yet when working with this material it can remain elastic and malleable as long as the artist keeps heating up the material. Understanding and experimenting with the process of forming, forging and fold-forming reveals something new about the individual pieces of copper or sterling silver used to make this unique jewelry. It has been a pleasure creating work that can be treasured, worn, observed and handed down to later generations due to its quality and lasting characteristics.
